Through Water, Through Self

Through Water, Through Self

Exploring distortion, stillness, and identity through reflective surfaces and quiet, uncontrolled poses.

Through Water, Through Self

Through Water, Through Self examines how perception shifts when viewed through both clarity and blur. Shot in minimal studio settings, the series follows a woman dressed in a stark white COAT - seated, folded into herself, and framed by the calm tension of her own posture.
In other frames, water becomes a lens: pooled on a table, refracting her expression, bending light, and distorting reality just enough to question what’s true and what’s projection.

‘I see photography as more than images, it’s about people, emotion, and story. With roots in both the Caribbean and France, I’ve learned to embrace contrast and capture truth. My work is about making you feel seen, celebrated, and unforgettable in every frame.’
